How to auto swipe on Tinder (on a computer, with Chrome)

Tinder's phone app has no auto-swipe button, but Tinder also runs in a normal web browser at tinder.com. On a computer, a Chrome extension can press the like button for you. Here's the whole setup, what to expect, and the catch you should know about first.

Includes a real screen recording. Other people's profiles are blurred for privacy.

Read this first. Tinder's Terms of Use don't allow bots or third-party tools that interact with Tinder, so auto swiping can get an account restricted or banned (what the terms say). Free Tinder accounts also have a like limit, and no auto swiper can like more than Tinder allows (how the like limit works).

What you need

  • A computer with Google Chrome (Windows, Mac, Linux or ChromeOS).
  • Your Tinder account. You log in on the web with the same account you use on your phone (how to use Tinder on a PC).
  • An auto swiper extension. This guide uses SwipeBoost, which we make. The steps are similar for other extensions.

Step 1: Open tinder.com in Chrome and log in

Go to tinder.com, choose Log in, and use the same method you use on your phone (phone number, Google, Facebook or Apple, where offered). Allow location access when Chrome asks, because Tinder needs it to show you people nearby.

Step 2: Add the extension to Chrome

Open SwipeBoost on the Chrome Web Store and click Add to Chrome. Then click the puzzle-piece icon in Chrome's toolbar and pin SwipeBoost so it's easy to find. There's no account to create and no password to enter.

Step 3: Choose who you see in Tinder's settings

An auto swiper likes whoever Tinder shows you, so set your age range, distance and who to show in Tinder's own settings first (your profile icon, then Settings, on tinder.com or in the app). Settings are saved to your account. Refresh the Tinder tab after changing them so new profiles load with the new settings.

Step 4: Press Start and pick a speed

Back on the tinder.com tab, a small SwipeBoost panel appears in the bottom-right corner. Pick a speed and press Start:

SpeedPaceNote
Normal (default)About 2 likes a secondA good place to start
FastAbout 3 likes a second-
TurboAbout 4–5 likes a secondNo speed makes auto-liking allowed or safe

Press Stop any time. Keep the Tinder tab open while it runs. Chrome can slow down tabs that are hidden or minimized, so for a steady pace keep the Tinder tab visible in its own window.

What happens while it runs

SwipeBoost likes one profile after another and closes the "It's a Match" popups so it can keep going. It stops by itself when Tinder shows its like limit, when there are no more profiles nearby, or when a Tinder popup it can't close appears.

Explore mode (optional). Turn on the Explore mode switch in the panel and, when your main stack runs out, SwipeBoost carries on through Tinder's Explore cards (for example "Short-term fun" or "Coffee Date"), one card after another, within the same age, distance and gender settings. It skips cards that ask you to join or get verified and never changes your profile or location. It's off by default.

Refresh & continue. When there's no one left, the panel asks whether you changed your location, distance or age range in the Tinder app. Tap Refresh & continue and the page reloads and liking starts again by itself, with no extra clicks. A normal page refresh never starts liking on its own.

Matches don't appear instantly. A match needs the other person to like you back, and they can only do that when they next open Tinder and see your profile. Expect matches over the following hours and days, not while it's running.

How many likes can you auto swipe?

As many as Tinder lets your account give. Free accounts have a like limit per 12-hour period (Tinder doesn't publish the number), while Tinder Plus, Gold and Platinum include unlimited likes. On the SwipeBoost side, the free plan gives you 100 likes every day; for more, there's a one-time pass: $1 for an hour, $3 for a week, $5 for a month or $19 for life, with no subscription.

Can you auto swipe on iPhone or Android?

Not with SwipeBoost. Chrome extensions only run in Chrome on a computer; Chrome on phones doesn't support them. Some other tools use Apple Shortcuts in Safari or auto-clicker apps on Android. We haven't tested them, and Tinder's rules apply to them too.

Is auto swiping allowed?

No. Tinder's terms forbid automated tools and third-party apps that interact with Tinder without its written consent, and Tinder can suspend or ban accounts that break its terms. Many people use auto swipers anyway, but it's your account and your risk. Read the full answer.

FAQ

Does Tinder have a built-in auto swipe?

No. Tinder has no auto-swipe or auto-like feature. Auto swiping is done with third-party tools, which Tinder's terms don't allow.

Is there a free Tinder auto swiper?

Yes. SwipeBoost's free plan gives you 100 likes every day, with no card and no account. For more, a one-time pass starts at $1 for an hour.

Does an auto swiper read my messages?

SwipeBoost doesn't. It only presses the like button and closes match popups; it doesn't read your messages, matches or profile. Check the privacy policy of any tool before you install it.

Do I have to keep my computer on?

Yes. It runs inside your Chrome tab, so the computer has to stay awake with the tinder.com tab open. Chrome can slow down tabs that are hidden or minimized, so for a steady pace keep the Tinder tab visible in its own window.

Can I auto swipe on iPhone or Android?

Not with SwipeBoost. Chrome extensions only run in Chrome on a computer. Some other tools use Apple Shortcuts or Android auto-clicker apps; we haven't tested them, and Tinder's rules apply to them too.
